EB-5 INVESTMENT PROGRAM UPDATE
On March 15, 2022, the United States Congress passed the EB-5 Reform and Integrity Act of 2022 (RIA), introducing significant and necessary changes to the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program.
The new legislation allows authorized Regional Centers to resume operations and begin accepting new investors. The RIA is designed to improve the efficiency, transparency, and security of the EB-5 program for both investors and the projects they invest in.
The EB-5 Program has long been an important source of investment capital and job creation throughout the United States. The RIA builds on this legacy by ensuring the program operates with the highest standards of integrity and transparency.
The passage of the Reform and Integrity Act marks a major milestone for the EB-5 program and Regional Centers nationwide. Approved Regional Centers can once again offer qualified investment opportunities to foreign investors, leading to job creation and economic growth across U.S. communities. The reauthorization provides investors with access to high-quality projects that meet the strict requirements of the EB-5 program.
